Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Help Us Build Something Special
Employer & Disability Health Solutions (EDHS) is expanding our allied health services and creating a new paediatric Occupational Therapy clinic. We're looking for an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist who wants more than just another clinical role. This is an opportunity to come in at the beginning and help us build a service around you.
You'll have the opportunity to influence how the clinic operates, the services we provide, the clinical environment we create and how we support children and their families.
The Role
As our foundational Paediatric OT, you'll provide evidence-based assessment and intervention for children and young people while playing an important role in developing our new paediatric service.
Your work may include
- Functional Capacity Assessments
- Sensory processing assessment and intervention
- Fine and gross motor skill development
- Emotional regulation and daily living skills
- School and home-based assessments
- Assistive technology and equipment recommendations
- NDIS assessments, reports and documentation
- Working collaboratively with parents, schools and other health professionals
- Helping establish clinical systems, resources and service pathways
- Contributing to the future growth of the paediatric OT team
More Than a Clinical Position
We already have the business infrastructure,
facilities and administrative support. What we don't have is a predetermined way that our paediatric clinic has to operate.
That's deliberate.
We want an experienced clinician who can bring their knowledge, ideas and personality to the service and help us create a clinic that both families love attending and clinicians love working in.
As the service grows, there will also be opportunities to take on clinical leadership, mentoring and team development if that's where you'd like your career to go.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have:
- AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with children and families
- Robust clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of the NDIS environment
- A collaborative and family-centred approach
- The confidence and experience to help shape a developing service
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to build something, not simply inherit it.
Why EDHS?
You'll have the freedom and influence of helping create a new clinic, backed by the resources and support of an established organisation. You bring the clinical expertise. We'll provide the platform to build something exceptional around it.
