Role Description This is a part-time, remote Front-End Developer role. The Front-End Developer will build and maintain user-facing interfaces for conference-related websites and web applications, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and performant. Day-to-day tasks include implementing responsive layouts, integrating front-end components with existing back-end services, optimizing pages for speed and usability, and refining UI elements based on feedback from organizers and users.
The role also involves collaborating with designers and other developers, reviewing code, and contributing to open source repositories and documentation related to event platforms.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design skills.
- Candidates should possess solid Web Development and Software Development skills.
- Candidates should possess foundational Back-End Web Development skills to collaborate effectively with server-side teams.
- Experience with up-to-date JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) and CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, Bootstrap) is beneficial.
- Understanding of web accessibility standards, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization is preferred.
- Comfort working in distributed teams, using version control (Git) and participating in open source workflows is advantageous.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is desirable.
