Greek-Speaking Female Support Worker - Prospect NSW

About the role

n

Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Greek-speaking female Support Worker to provide regular in-home and community-based support to an older female client living in Prospect.

n

This is a consistent ongoing role suited to someone who values building a trusting relationship with one client and providing culturally appropriate, person-centred care.

n

The client enjoys Greek music, meaningful conversation, gentle walking and community activities. She requires a calm and patient worker who can support her emotional wellbeing, encourage her independence and assist her to remain safe and engaged.

n

Due to the client's personal-care needs, language preference and cultural requirements, applicants must be female and able to communicate fluently in Greek.

Regular roster

n

n
- Monday: 8:00 am-11:00 am
n
- Tuesday: 8:00 am-11:00 am
n
- Thursday: 8:00 am-11:00 am
n

n

Applicants must be able to commit reliably to the regular weekday morning roster.

n

Key responsibilities

n

The successful applicant will provide:

n

n
- Personal care support in accordance with the client's care plan
n
- Assistance with grooming, dressing, toileting and continence needs as required
n
- Social and emotional support
n
- Companionship and meaningful conversation in Greek
n
- Engagement through Greek music and culturally familiar activities
n
- Supervised walking and encouragement to take regular rest breaks
n
- Community access, including short outings, shopping or appointments
n
- Assistance with daily routines while encouraging independence
n
- Light domestic assistance where required
n
- Close supervision during mobility due to an increased falls risk
n
- Observation and reporting of changes in mobility, mood, behaviour, pain or wellbeing
n




- Accurate digital progress notes following each shift
n
- Compliance with care plans, risk controls and organisational policies
n

Applicants must have:

n

n
- Fluency in Greek and English
n
- Previous experience in aged care, disability support or community care
n
- Experience providing personal care
n
- A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Ageing, Disability or a related qualification
n
- Current National Police Check
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
n
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
n
- Ability to complete digital progress notes
n
- Strong communication, observation and reporting skills
n
- Availability Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 11:00 am
n
