At the heart of our conservation mission is Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, one of Australia's most iconic wildlife destinations & the home of Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.
Role Description The Fundraising Campaign Lead is based at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and is an integral part of the Fundraising and Marketing teams working to support the mission of saving and protecting native wildlife, our culture and heritage. The role takes responsibility for planning, delivering, and evaluating the success of fundraising campaigns and appeals.
Day-to-day activities include developing campaign strategies and timelines, coordinating appeals and donor communications, managing fundraising events and initiatives, and ensuring consistent messaging and branding across multiple channels.
Working closely with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners this role will grow supporter engagement, maintain accurate donor records, and monitor campaign performance against targets. It is also expected to prepare reports, contribute to budget planning,
and identify new fundraising opportunities to expand the organisation’s impact.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, campaign management, or development within a not-for-profit or charitable environment.
- Robust skills in relationship building, stakeholder engagement, and donor stewardship.
- Competence in project management, including planning, prioritising, and delivering multiple campaigns on time and within budget.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive campaign materials and reports.
- Comfort with data management and basic analytics, including use of CRM or donor databases to track performance and insights.
- Knowledge of fundraising regulations, ethical standards, and best practices in the Australian charity sector is highly regarded.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in fundraising, communications, marketing, business, or a related field are desirable, or equivalent experience.
- Commitment to wildlife conservation, culture and heritage as well as alignment with the values and mission of National Trust of Australia (Queensland).
