Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced General Manager, Maintenance Services, to lead a large-scale operation responsible for delivering high-volume maintenance services across a geographically dispersed client portfolio.

This is a critical executive leadership role overseeing complex maintenance programs, contractor networks, operational performance, commercial outcomes, and client relationships. You will be responsible for driving service excellence, continuous improvement, and profitable growth while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

The Role:

As General Manager, Maintenance Services, you will be responsible for the operational and commercial performance of a multi-million dollar maintenance services portfolio. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure the effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance programs, minor works projects, contractor management, client engagement, and business growth initiatives.

You will work closely with key clients and internal stakeholders to optimise service delivery, improve operational efficiency, and identify opportunities to enhance value and expand services.

Key Responsibilities:





- Lead and optimise the delivery of maintenance services across a high-volume reactive and planned maintenance environment.
- Oversee operational performance across multiple client sites and locations, ensuring contractual commitments are consistently achieved.
- Manage complex supply chains and contractor networks to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant services.
- Drive financial performance, margin improvement, productivity gains, and cost efficiencies.
- Lead strategic planning, resource allocation, and workforce development initiatives.
- Champion a solid safety culture, ensuring compliance with all WHS, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, mentor, and empower a high-performing leadership team.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted adviser and point of escalation.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, service enhancement, and business growth.
- Ensure robust governance, reporting, risk management, and operational transparency across the portfolio.

About You:

You are an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of managing large-scale maintenance services operations across facilities management, asset maintenance, property services, infrastructure, housing, defence, utilities, and related sectors.





You will bring

- Extensive experience leading maintenance services or facilities management operations at a senior level.
- Demonstrated success managing large, geographically dispersed service delivery teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with full P&L; responsibility and budget management experience.
- Proven experience managing high-volume maintenance programs and contractor networks.
- Deep understanding of WHS, compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to inspire teams, drive accountability, and deliver results.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence and customer outcomes.
