About the Company
We are a dedicated glass fabrication team based in Wangara, providing precision cutting, edging, and processing for a range of architectural and commercial projects. We value reliability, teamwork, and a proactive approach to producing high-quality glass products.
Position Summary:
We’re seeking a dependable Glass Cutter / Processor with hands-on experience in glass cutting. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in glass cutting and ideally some knowledge of CNC operations. You will work closely with a team to meet production goals, perform basic repairs where needed, and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment. Training is available for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
· Read and interpret project drawings, templates, and cut lists to determine required dimensions.
· Cut glass with accuracy using manual cutters and basic CNC cutting equipment where applicable.
· Perform basic edgework, finishing, and light processing tasks as required.
· Assist with simple machine maintenance and minor repairs to cutting equipment and tools.
· Inspect cut pieces for accuracy and quality; identify and address defects or re-cut requirements.
· Handle glass safely, adhere to PPE protocols, and follow site safety policies.
· Collaborate with team members to plan workflow and meet production targets.
· Maintain organized benches, proper tool storage, and explicit documentation of work performed.
· Report any process improvements or equipment issues to supervision.
Qualifications:
· Essential: Prior experience in glass cutting or a glass fabrication environment.
· CNC:
Some knowledge of CNC cutting operations or a willingness to learn (training provided for suitable candidates).
· Reliability: Demonstrated ability to work in a team, be punctual, and follow instructions.
· Basic Repairs: Ability to perform basic repairs or adjustments to cutting equipment and tools.
· Licenses: Valid driver’s license is required.
· Physical Demands: Capability to stand for extended periods, handle glass, and perform repetitive tasks; ability to lift, push, or manoeuvre glass with assistance as needed.
· Safety: Commitment to safe work practices and PPE usage.
· Math/Measurements: Basic measurement and interpretation of drawings for cutting accuracy.
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
