About the role

This is a hands-on outdoor role with a strong focus on grounds maintenance, including mowing, edging, general landscape maintenance and operating grounds equipment.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have previous experience in grounds maintenance, parks and gardens, landscaping, turf maintenance or a similar outdoor setting.

You will also support burial operations and funeral services, with training provided in cemetery-specific duties.

Responsibilities include:

- Mowing, edging and maintaining lawns and cemetery grounds
- Operating ride-on mowers and hand-operated grounds equipment
- General grounds, garden and landscape maintenance
- Undertaking burial activities including grave preparation, digging and final presentation
- Preparing burial and funeral service areas
- Identifying cemetery sections and grave locations
- Assisting with funeral services as required
- Communicating respectfully with Funeral Directors, families and visitors
- Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety and presentation standards





We are looking for someone who:

- Has previous grounds maintenance, mowing, landscaping, parks and gardens or similar experience
- Is confident operating ride-on mowers, whipper snippers, blowers and other grounds maintenance equipment
- Enjoys practical, hands-on outdoor work
- Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in maintaining grounds to a high standard
- Works well as part of a small team and can complete tasks within required timeframes
- Is comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Holds a current NSW Driver Licence
- Holds a White Card, or is willing to obtain one
- Has an LR, MR or HR licence and/or excavator or backhoe experience — highly regarded but not essential

Previous cemetery or burial experience is not essential. If you bring strong grounds maintenance experience and the right attitude, we can provide training in the specialist aspects of the role.
