About the Dementia Foundation The Dementia Foundation is committed to enhancing the lives of people living with dementia through cutting-edge, person-centred services, care, support, advocacy and education. We are seeking an experienced, motivated and visionary Group Manager for Service Operations to lead and support our growing operational services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within a purpose-driven organisation and make a lasting impact on the lives of people living with Young Onset Dementia.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the senior leadership team, the Group Manager for Service Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of accommodation and community based services supporting participants living with Young Onset Dementia.
The successful candidate will directly manage three Accommodation & Community Managers responsible for:
- Supported Independent Living (SIL) Homes
- Clustered SIL accommodation services within a village environment
- Community-based clients who continue to live independently in their own homes
As the organisation continues to evolve and expand its services, this position offers a unique opportunity for the right person to help shape the role, contribute to service innovation, and drive positive outcomes across the Dementia Foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and People Management
- Provide leadership, coaching and support to Accommodation & Community Managers.
- Foster a positive, accountable and high-performing culture aligned with the Foundation's values.
- Lead,
mentor and develop management staff to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Support workforce planning, talent development and succession planning initiatives.
- Promote employee engagement, wellbeing and professional growth across operational teams.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi-site disability, community, health, aged care or human services operations.
- Experience leading and developing managers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of person-centred service delivery models.
- Experience managing operational performance, compliance and quality outcomes.
- Excellent communication,
stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities.
- High level of professionalism, resilience and emotional intelligence.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within the NDIS environment.
- Sound understanding of NDIS Practice Standards, funding arrangements, compliance requirements and reporting obligations.
- Experience supporting individuals living with dementia, cognitive impairment, disability, complex behaviours or related support needs.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Health, Human Services, Disability, Community Services, Management, Nursing or a related field.
- Equivalent experience within healthcare, aged care, community services or other regulated human service environments will also be highly regarded.
