About The Role

We are looking for a Gutenberg WordPress Developer to join our delivery team. This role is designed with a clear progression path: you will start part-time (3 days / 22.8 hours per week), with the goal of transitioning to a full-time position upon successful completion of your probation period.You will enjoy a highly flexible hybrid work arrangement - splitting your time between working from home and joining our team at the premium Waterman Co-working spaces (primarily in Ringwood).

Reporting directly to our Senior Web Developer, you will be the engine behind our premium client support. Your primary focus will be servicing our retainer clients, ensuring our existing custom WordPress builds (using Gutenberg as editor) remain robust, secure, and up-to-date. More than just executing tasks, we want you to feel heard, grow your skill set, and become a crucial, long-term part of our business.

What You’ll Do

- Proactively review client websites and recommend improvements: We value your input and want your help to ensure our clients' websites are the best they can be.
- Execute support tickets: Manage retainer tasks, updates, and general maintenance on existing custom WordPress sites.
- Write great code: Produce clean,



maintainable code across PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and SCSS/CSS.
- Manage block architecture: Troubleshoot, update, and build custom Gutenberg blocks for existing client sites.
- Collaborate and learn: Assist other team members with functionality updates, bug fixes, and theme tweaks.
- Track your impact: Meticulously track time for client reporting and agency management.
- Explore AI (Bonus): Bring your curiosity about AI and help us identify ways we can leverage current tools to improve our services and workflows.

What You Need

- Demonstrable experience working with WordPress building and maintaining custom Gutenberg blocks (using native React/Block API or Advanced Custom Fields/ACF Blocks).
- Solid foundational skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure front-end presentation remains pixel-perfect across all devices.
- A proactive, positive attitude and an eagerness to learn from a Senior Developer.
