About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, organised and hands-on Hatchery & Processing Operations Coordinator to oversee key day-to-day operational requirements across our hatchery and processing plant. This role is suited to someone who is proactive, highly organised and able to manage multiple responsibilities while ensuring production runs efficiently and without interruption.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Conducting weekly stocktakes of frozen product and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Organising and coordinating weekly pallet orders.
- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the hatchery, ensuring duties and processes are completed efficiently such as clean and sanitising hatchery incubation, hatchers and associated equipment.
- Overseeing the running requirements of the processing plant and identifying any issues that may affect production.
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring we do not run out of essential supplies, including: Packaging cartons / labels, Chemicals, Processing and Production supplies.

- Managing and maintaining accurate quail inventory, including monitoring numbers and stock movements.
- Liaising with relevant staff to ensure orders and deliveries are organised in a timely manner.

- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies or operational issues.
- Ensuring the hatchery and processing areas are appropriately organised and prepared for daily operations.





- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, organisation and stock management.
- Assisting with general operational duties as required to support the wider production team.

Requirements

- Forklift Licence
- Own transport
- Experience in the poultry industry is not required, however will be considered favourable.

The successful candidate will be:

- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a quick-paced production environment.

- Detail-oriented, particularly when managing stock and inventory.
- A strong communicator who can work effectively with staff, management and suppliers.
- Confident taking responsibility for day-to-day operational requirements.

- Practical and willing to get hands-on when required.
- Previous experience in poultry, hatchery, food production, processing or inventory management will be highly regarded.
