Eric Child & Sons is a small family owned and operated business specialising in land clearing, green waste management and mulching which offers a friendly work environment and down-to-earth culture, and full-time hours (initially casual). We require an enthusiastic person with an excellent work ethic and a positive attitude to be a part of our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out the essential duties satisfactory.

- Operate heavy combination trucks in compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Operate walking floor semi-trailers and low loader trailers as required
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Follow appropriate standard operating procedures for protected vehicle and plant operation and maintenance
- Perform other assigned minor tasks

Qualifications

Education and Experience

- General Safety Card (Construction Induction) required

Certificates,



Licences, Registrations or Other Requirements:
- Heavy Combination Driver Licence - must be competent in driving a manual truck
- Excavator Ticket required

Work Environment

- Primarily field or holding yard-based work
- Requires motor coordination and dexterity for vehicle and machine operation most of the day
- Physical effort required when handling objects and materials
- Exposure to occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, chemicals, etc) but rarely
- Exposure to environment which involves dirt, odours, noise, and weather extremes
- Must be fit for the role
