HEAD CHEF – ITALIAN CUISINE

Il Ritrovo is seeking a highly experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and take our Italian offering to the next level.

We are looking for a passionate and confident chef with extensive experience in authentic Italian cuisine, strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a busy kitchen to the highest standards.

About the Role

- Lead and manage the entire kitchen team
- Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across every service
- Oversee menu development, specials and seasonal dishes
- Manage food costs, stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
- Organise kitchen rosters and staff training
- Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
- Work closely with the owners to grow and develop the restaurant

Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong background in authentic Italian cuisine
- Excellent knowledge of pasta, meat, seafood and traditional Italian cooking techniques




- Proven leadership and kitchen-management experience
- Strong understanding of food costs, portion control and stock management
- Ability to remain organised and perform under pressure
- Skilled attitude, reliability and strong work ethic
- Full working rights in Australia
