Reporting to the Chief Digital, Information, & AI Officer, the Head of Data & Analytics will lead data engineering, analytics and business intelligence. The role will own enterprise data and analytics strategy, architecture, operating model and roadmap across Microsoft Fabric, Azure and AWS, establish trusted data products and semantic models, and improve enterprise reporting.

This role will establish the trusted foundations required for future AI and machine-learning adoption without requiring full AI ownership from commencement.

Here is what you will be doing:

- Lead software development and web and mobile engineering
- Own the engineering operating model, technical direction and architecture
- Lead planning, prioritisation and roadmap delivery
- Strengthen automated testing, secure development, CI/CD and DevSecOps
- Govern technical debt, reliability, scalability and performance




- Manage capacity, dependencies, delivery risk and workforce planning
- Lead and develop engineering leaders and teams
- Manage specialist partners and assure externally delivered work
- Partner with executives, PM&BI; and operational leaders
- Provide transparent reporting on delivery, risk, cost and value

- Significant leadership experience across software engineering and business-critical platforms
- Strong knowledge of contemporary architecture, APIs, integration and scalable application design
- Experience improving engineering quality, DevSecOps, CI/CD and reliability
- Experience leading multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams
- Commercial judgement across internal development, vendors and build-versus-buy decisions
- Clear communication across engineering, executive and operational stakeholders
- A record of building capable teams, leaders and disciplined engineering culture
