About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an action-oriented Head of People & Performance to join our People & Performance function. This influential role partners closely with senior leaders to execute strategies that strengthen organisational capability to deliver a high-performance culture that drives sustainable growth and retains talent.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

- Together with Senior Leadership, design, develop and implement ANZ People & Performance Strategic Plans aligned with the business objectives to grow market share.
- Leading the People & Performance function, develop policy and implement strategies aligned with the business requirements and priorities across; Talent Management & Retention, Employment Relations, Compensation & Benefits and Organisation Development.
- Provide the framework for a high-performance culture, collaborating with senior leadership and partnering with managers.
- Ensure compliance across end-to-end human resource processes.
- Leading the People & Performance team to develop and implement initiatives to continuously improve business processes, culture, employee performance and engagement.
- Build people capability through organizational development initiatives.
- Design and manage Talent & Succession Management processes for effective attraction, recruitment and positive retention results,



mapping career pathways for progression and development opportunities.
- Manage Compensation & Benefits, oversee Salary Benchmarking for competitivity and to incentivise high performance.
- Coach managers to build capability for effective leadership and support ensuring employees achieve and sustain high performance.
- Lead direction and shape new/revised policies and initiatives to ensure the business culture and environment remain an attractive company to work for in line with SMC’s business strategy.
- Provide sound Employee and Industrial Relations advice and case management/strategic advice with respect to employment relations matters including representing the Company across ANZ as required.
- Oversee Workers Compensation and Fitness for Work processes for ANZ.
- Manage learning and development including compliance training to build capability across the business.

About You

- Masters’ qualifications in Human Resources Management.
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience as a HR Manager in national/ANZ based role within manufacturing or in a similar mixed blue- and white-collar industry.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of Corporate Governance and compliance issues.

Demonstrated experience in;
- Managing multi-site ANZ IR/employment relations matters, workers compensation and employment law.
- Providing high level HR/ER leadership and advice to executives, middle and line management.
