Contract Diesel — Full-time

Contract Diesel is looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team, working across Road Transport, Construction, Exploration Drilling, and Power Generation Equipment — both in the field and at our Welshpool workshop.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll service, diagnose, and maintain a wide range of customer assets to keep them reliable, safe, and performing.

Key Responsibilities

- Service, maintain and repair heavy vehicles and equipment across transport, construction, drilling and power generation sectors




- Diagnostics and fault-finding
- Routine maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Accurate service documentation and job reports
- Mentor and support apprentices in the team

Requirements

- Trade qualification in Heavy Automotive Mechanical
- Proven experience on on-highway trucks
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Confident using diagnostic laptops/scan tools

- Driver's Licence (HR preferred)
- Forklift and/or High Risk Work licences (desirable)
- Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and under pressure

- High attention to detail
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol screening
