Heavy Diesel Mechanic Fitters - Join the Westoz Field Service team!

About the role

Westoz Equipment Repairs Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter | HD Mechanic to join our team on a casual basis. This is a FIFO or DIDO role based in Various Locations in the Goldfields, Western Australia.

What you'll be doing

- Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and machinery used in the mining industry
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
- Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections, and overhauls to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment
- Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance team to deliver productive and high-quality service
- Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of work performed

What we're looking for

- Formal trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Current driver's licence and ability to obtain the necessary site and mining tickets/licenses
- Roster Experience with Earth-Moving equipment: CAT, Hitachi, Volvo, Sandvik, Komatsu.



- Highly desirable Field service experience
- WA RESIDENTS WITH AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP ONLY
- Must be able to pass minesite medical
- Must have Australian Trade Certificate
