About the role

We are seeking a professional Truck Driver to join the A-Civil Aust team. This is a full time position based in Leppington, NSW 2179. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across our service areas. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for reliability and professionalism in the transport and logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

- Operate heavy vehicles safely and professionally in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet deadlines and customer requirements
- Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly and transported without damage
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records and documentation as required by legislation and company procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and other team members regarding deliveries and any issues encountered
- Adhere to fatigue management laws and maintain safe driving practices at all times
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Represent A-Civil Aust professionally with customers and the public

What we're looking for

- Current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence as appropriate for the role
- Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in the transport and logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations, fatigue management laws and transport compliance
- Excellent driving record with a commitment to safe driving practices




- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactions
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks as required
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and certifications as required
- Preference for candidates with experience in civil or construction material transport
