Opportunities exist for a keen and reliable HR Truck Driver to join our team. We are seeking a motivated and well organised driver to perform deliveries and pick ups for a special service run, requiring excellent service, security protocols and specific processes and procedures. This role requires high security of freight, including the use of scanners to verify the receiver or sender (for pick ups).

The driver must be an Australian resident and be able to provide a current police check. These requirements are not our own but are part of the contract.

THE ROLE

- Operate a 14 pallet, tautliner truck with tailgate
- Complete all necessary paperwork including pre-start checks, run sheets, log book, PODs etc
- Use scanners and mobile phone to utilise IT platforms for scanning freight, capturing live signatures for deliveries and performing any processes or procedures that can be done using technology
- Deliver and pick up freight using a variety of different methods including by forklift, using a manual or electric pallet jack to unload by tailgate and hand unload.
- Involves customer service both with general public and other carriers

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- HR driver's licence (higher category a bonus) & good driving history
- Forklift licence not mandatory, but would be highly regarded
- Physically fit to work in a fast paced work environment and position.
- These runs require all forms of delivery and as such some manual handling is required for any hand unload drops. There will also be forklift delivery drops and tailgate delivery drops.
- Applicants must be capable of lifting up to 35kgs and have a reasonable fitness to perform this kind of manual work repetitively
- Ability to deliver freight by areas, using GPS technology as needed, in a time efficient,



organised manner
- Applicant must be a team player and be able to work well both within the team and independently. Our team focus's on helping each other when they can and within their skill set, even if the task is not their usual responsibility
- Applicant must have excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail. We always aim to provide a friendly and exceptional service.
- Applicant must have reasonable communication, literacy and numeracy skill levels to be able to perform this duties of this role to a minimum standard
- Applicant must have an excellent work ethic with a "can do" attitude
- Applicant must have excellent time management skills
- Applicant must be well presented and be able to pass random drug and alcohol testing
- Applicant must supply a current National Police Check which has been issued within the previous 28 days.
- Applicant must be able to follow all company processes, procedures and training including WHS. Safety is our number one focus and you will be expected to follow all legal and safety requirements at all times on site, whilst driving and on site at other locations.
- Applicant must be aware of and adhere to fatigue management and other NHVL guidelines including Chain of Responsibility
- Applicant must be able to accurately follow directions at all times
