Support the Safe Delivery of a Education Project We're seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to join our ACT team on a fixed-term contract through to December, with the potential for extension.
Working on a large education project approaching completion, you'll partner closely with site teams, subcontractors and project leadership to ensure safe work practices are maintained across commissioning, fit-out and external works activities.
This is a hands-on role for a safety professional who enjoys being out on site, building relationships and driving a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate site inductions and onboarding activities
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety observations
- Review SWMS and monitor subcontractor compliance
- Support the implementation of project safety initiatives and procedures
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Maintain site safety records and project documentation
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across the project
About You
- 3+ years' experience in a HSE Coordinator, Safety Coordinator or similar role
- Construction industry experience is essential
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and site safety requirements
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and engage subcontractors and site teams
- Proactive and practical approach to safety
