About the role

Working on Major Civil and Energy projects alongside Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and site teams, you will help ensure HSEQ requirements are understood, implemented and maintained across project delivery. The role combines site-based leadership with office-based HSEQ coordination, giving you exposure to a range of projects, teams and operational environments.

Key responsibilities

- Provide practical HSEQ support and guidance to project and site teams
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks
- Support the implementation and maintenance of HSEQ systems and processes
- Assist with risk assessments, SWMS, JHAs and project documentation
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action processes
- Monitor and report on HSEQ performance, trends and improvement opportunities
- Support project mobilisation and HSEQ planning
- Assist with internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and HSEQ training where required
- Work with project teams to identify and manage operational risks

About you

- Minimum 2 years' experience in an HSEQ Advisor or similar role
- Experience within civil construction, infrastructure, energy or related industries
- Relevant qualification in Work Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation, construction safety and environmental requirements
- Experience with risk management, site inspections, audits and incident investigations




- Understanding of quality and environmental management systems
- Experience implementing HSEQ controls and supporting compliance across active construction sites
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence teams and deliver training
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and maintain accurate HSEQ documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant HSEQ systems
