The Role Reporting to the Managing Director and supported by an HR Officer, you will lead the HR function across the whole organisation. This is a leadership role that will require your direction across HR strategy, operations and compliance from end to end while building a positive and professional culture across both the office and a large casual workforce. Specifically, you will:

- Lead the employee lifecycle; recruitment, onboarding, performance management & exit




- Provide strategic HR advice to the Managing Director & senior leaders on workforce matters
- Ensure compliance across Fair Work Act, state industrial relations & WHS legislation, awards & fatigue management requirements
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and systems
- Guide employee relations, grievances, disputes & workplace investigations
- Oversee workforce planning alongside the operational and scheduling teams
- Manage workers compensation claims, workplace incidents & insurance matters
- Mentor and develop the HR staff

About you You are an experienced HR generalist or manager who is comfortable operating on your own and setting the direction. You hold a relevant HR qualification and bring solid knowledge of Australian employment law and industrial relations, and you know how to hold compliance firm while keeping culture warm. You are confident managing employee relations and investigations, you are highly organised, and you are as comfortable writing a policy as you are having a difficult conversation.

Experience overseeing a large casual or field based workforce would serve you well here.
