Expressions of Interest

Loreto College is seeking expressions of interest from skilled, passionate Music Tutors to join our excellent team of Instrumental Music Tutors in 2027.

In light of exciting growth within our Music Program, we look forward to adding exceptional candidates to our pool of dedicated professionals subject to emerging demands and student enrolments.

With a multi-faceted instrumental and award-winning vocal program, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from Music Tutors interested in joining our team on a fee-for-service basis across the Junior and Senior Schools. There is scope to contribute to the wider musical experiences at Loreto, including leading ensembles and broadening the Music Program through sectionals and instrument-specific ensemble development.

Tutoring allocations are based on student enrolments and availability.

EOIs are sought from Music Specialists to work in the following domains:

- Instrumental Tutoring in 1:1 lessons on the College campus
- Ensemble Facilitation and Support

Instrument areas include (but are not limited to):
- Brass;
- Strings;
- Woodwind;
- Percussion.

Key Duties - Tutors will:

- Foster young talent and support students’ musical growth
- Model engaging, contemporary teaching practice to motivate, recruit and retain aspiring Loreto musicians
- Build strong relationships with students, families and colleagues




- Collaborate with the Director of Performing Arts and the Music Ensembles and Instrumental Coordinator to enhance the overall music program
- Ensure adherence to the College’s Safeguarding Children and Young People Code of Conduct
- Model Loreto College’s values

Personal and Skilled Qualities - Tutors will:

- Be committed, talented musicians, inspiring students through excellence in their own performance field;
- Be enthusiastic about Music education, maximising student engagement and development through ensembles and extra experiences;
- Have (or be working towards) a tertiary Music qualification;
- Be positive collaborators who are organised, reliable and flexible;
- Hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
