Insurance Lawyer – Professional Indemnity | 1–3 PAE

Prima Facie Legal Talent Acquisition is recruiting for a Brisbane-based insurance practice seeking a lawyer with approximately 1–3 years PAE to join its Professional Indemnity team.

This is an opportunity for a junior lawyer who wants to build genuine depth in insurance litigation and work on complex professional indemnity matters within an established specialist practice.

The Role

You will work alongside experienced insurance practitioners across a range of professional indemnity disputes and claims, with exposure to technically interesting matters and increasing responsibility as your experience develops.

The practice advises across a broad range of professional indemnity matters, and the role provides an opportunity to develop strong technical expertise within a well-established insurance team.

The Ideal Candidate

You will ideally have 1–3 years PAE with experience in professional indemnity, insurance litigation or a closely related defendant litigation practice.

Experience in medical negligence,



healthcare claims or other professional liability matters would be highly regarded, particularly where you have developed strong skills in liability analysis, evidence, expert material and contested litigation.

Strong written and analytical skills are important, together with the ability to manage competing matters and a genuine interest in developing a long-term career in insurance litigation.

Candidates with relevant litigation experience who have not worked exclusively in professional indemnity are also encouraged to apply.
