Expressions of Interest: ILS Consultants

About the Role
Atlin is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Level 3 ILS Consultants to support major Defence capability programs in Canberra .
Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering, project, logistics and sustainment teams, you will provide specialist ILS support across the capability lifecycle. You will contribute to the development and delivery of ILS activities, supportability solutions and logistics requirements, helping ensure sustainment considerations are effectively integrated into program outcomes.
This is an opportunity to contribute to complex Defence programs while working alongside experienced professionals across Atlin’s growing Defence practice.
Due to the nature of the opportunities, current Australian Defence security clearance is essential (ideally NV1 or higher). Candidates with Baseline clearance are also encouraged to register their interest.
Responsibilities
- contribute to the delivery of Integrated Logistics Support activities across Defence acquisition and sustainment programs;
- develop, maintain and update ILS plans, strategies, schedules and supporting documentation;
- support the coordination of ILS activities and deliverables across engineering, project, logistics and sustainment teams;
- provide specialist input into supportability, maintainability and through-life support requirements;
- contribute to the development, analysis and management of ILS requirements across the capability lifecycle;
- support activities across relevant ILS disciplines, including RAM, Logistics Support Analysis, Supply Support, Maintenance, Technical Data, Technical Publications, Training, Configuration Management and Through-Life Support;
- review, analyse and contribute to ILS documentation, technical reports and program deliverables;
- participate in design reviews, program reviews and stakeholder engagements;
- identify and report ILS risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities for improvement;
- work collaboratively with Commonwealth, industry and project stakeholders to address logistics and supportability issues; and
- contribute to knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and the development of Atlin’s ILS capability.
Qualifications
- Degree or relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Asset Management or a related discipline;
- relevant skilled qualifications or certifications in ILS, logistics or Defence sustainment are highly desirable.
Required Skills
- demonstrated experience working as an ILS Consultant, ILS Engineer,
Logistics Engineer or equivalent within Defence or a complex engineering environment;
- sound understanding of Integrated Logistics Support principles and through-life support;
- experience contributing to the development and management of ILS plans, strategies, requirements and deliverables;
- experience across multiple ILS disciplines;
- knowledge of Defence acquisition, sustainment and capability management environments;
- understanding of supportability, maintainability and logistics requirements;
- ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities;
- strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills;
- strong written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation and review of technical documentation;
- ability to work effectively with Commonwealth, prime contractor and industry stakeholders;
- experience working within structured Defence engineering, project management or systems engineering environments.
