About the Company Our client is a purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation based in Ipswich, committed to supporting the local community through meaningful programs and services. Due to a short-term requirement, they are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to provide leadership and stability to the finance function over the next 3 months.

About the Role

Reporting to the senior leadership team and working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, this hands-on Finance Manager position will oversee the day-to-day finance function while leading a team of five.

Key responsibilities include

- Lead, mentor and support a finance team of five
- Drive month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial projection activities
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across the finance function
- Provide backup support for payroll processing as required
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements
- Review and maintain financial controls, processes and compliance obligations
- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and decision-making support




- Prepare reports and analysis for senior leadership and stakeholders
- Support the delivery of year-end and audit requirements where required
- Ensure the finance team continues to meet operational deadlines during the contract period

About You To be successful in this role, you will be a capable and adaptable finance leader who can quickly build relationships and provide confidence to the wider business.

You will bring

- CA or CPA qualification
- Demonstrated experience in a Finance Manager
- position
- Robust people leadership experience, including coaching and developing finance staff
- Proven experience managing month-end reporting and forecasting processes
- Experience driving process improvement and finance automation initiatives
- Sound knowledge of payroll and payroll-related compliance obligations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to hit the ground running
- Experience within the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded but is not essential
