Role Description This part time remote Integration Engineer / Implementation Specialist role with the AWS Student Builder Group Universidad del Valle focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting integrations between various software systems and cloud services. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing technical requirements, configuring and testing integration workflows, troubleshooting integration issues, and collaborating with student teams and mentors to ensure successful deployments. The role also involves documenting implementation steps, creating technical guides, and providing guidance on best practices for systems interoperability and scalability.

The specialist will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities, proposing enhancements, and helping maintain a reliable and secure integration environment.

Qualifications

- Ability to apply strong Analytical Skills to understand system requirements, interpret technical documentation, and solve complex integration challenges.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting to diagnose issues, perform root-cause analysis,



and implement effective solutions in distributed and cloud-based environments.
- Foundational experience in Software Development, including familiarity with programming languages, APIs, and version control tools.
- Knowledge of Integration practices such as API-based connections, data mapping, and workflow orchestration between applications and services.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering principles, including system design, reliability, security, and performance optimization.
- Relevant coursework or experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), including services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and messaging or integration tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a remote, student-focused environment.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a part-time role.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree program in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
