We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our in-office team in Townsville.

This is an In-office, full time position

About the Role

This is an chance to manage your own client portfolio while continuing to develop your technical expertise and advisory capability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for SMEs, trusts and partnerships
- Review junior team members’ work and provide coaching support
- Liaise directly with clients on accounting and tax queries
- Assist with tax planning and advisory projects
- Contribute commercially-minded ideas to improve client outcomes
- Manage workflow with accountability for quality and timeliness
- Lead initiatives in Tax, Business Advisory, or Financial Services specialisations

This role suits someone who enjoys both technical excellence and meaningful client relationships.

About You:

Essential Requirements:

- Australian Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of Australian public practice accounting experience
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards and Australian tax legislation




- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage workflows independently and mentor junior team members
- Strong communication and client relationship skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in Tax, Business Advisory, or Financial Services

Desirable:

- CA/CPA qualifications (completed or currently undertaking)
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience
