About The Capital Network The Capital Network (TCN) is an Australian investor and media relations agency working with ambitious ASX-listed companies, IPOs and growth businesses. We sit at the intersection of capital markets, media, communications and investor engagement, helping companies build awareness, communicate their investment story and connect with the people who matter.

Investor & Media Relations Adviser

TCN is expanding our professional services team and are looking for an Investor & Media Relations Adviser to work closely with clients and take a hands-on role in developing and delivering investor and media relations campaigns. This is an opportunity to work directly with CEOs, CFOs, founders, investors, brokers, fund managers and financial journalists, while developing deep expertise across Australian capital markets.

About the role

As an Investor & Media Relations Adviser, you will manage a portfolio of ASX-listed and private company clients, becoming a trusted partner to their executive teams. You will be involved in everything from investor relations and media strategy to corporate communications, events, digital campaigns and stakeholder engagement.

No two days will be the same. One day you may be developing an investor campaign for an ASX-listed company; the next, preparing a CEO for a media interview, coordinating an investor roadshow or identifying the next major story for a client.

You will be supported by experienced senior management and a broader digital, creative and administration team, but will also be expected to take ownership and make things happen. TCN is looking for someone who is commercially minded, highly organised, an exceptional communicator and genuinely interested in the ASX and investing.

Investor relations

- Manage day-to-day investor relations programs for ASX-listed and private company clients.
- Develop strategies to increase awareness, engagement and understanding among investors.
- Build and maintain relationships with retail and institutional investors, fund managers, brokers and other capital markets participants.
- Identify relevant investors and stakeholder groups for each client.
- Coordinate investor meetings, briefings, roadshows, site tours and events.
- Monitor investor sentiment, market developments and relevant shareholder activity.
- Identify potential share-price drivers and translate them into communications opportunities.
- Help clients communicate their investment proposition clearly and consistently.

Media relations

- Develop and execute media strategies for clients.
- Build relationships with financial, business, mainstream and industry journalists.
- Identify newsworthy stories and create compelling media angles.
- Pitch stories, interviews and commentary opportunities to relevant media.
- Prepare CEOs and senior executives for media interviews.
- Develop media releases, pitches, briefing documents and talking points.
- Monitor media coverage and sentiment and advise clients accordingly.

Corporate communications

- Draft, edit and refine high-quality corporate and investor communications.
- Assist with ASX announcements, investor presentations, shareholder communications,

website content, newsletters and other corporate materials.
- Ensure communications are clear, accurate, engaging and aligned with the company's strategy.
- Help clients communicate complex financial and corporate information in a way that investors and media can understand.
- Maintain a strong understanding of ASX disclosure and continuous disclosure obligations.

Campaign and project management

- Develop and manage investor and media campaigns from strategy through to execution.
- Build campaign calendars and ensure initiatives are delivered on time.
- Coordinate internal teams and external partners across digital, creative, media and events.
- Manage multiple clients and competing deadlines without compromising quality.
- Measure campaign outcomes and identify opportunities to improve results.
- Take ownership of projects and proactively identify what needs to happen next.

Digital and content

- Work collaboratively with TCN's digital and creative team to develop integrated communications campaigns.
- Coordinate content across email, social media, websites and digital platforms.
- Identify opportunities to amplify client announcements and corporate milestones.
- Contribute to content ideas, investor communications and digital campaigns.
- Use technology and AI tools appropriately to improve productivity, research and content development.

Client management

- Develop strong, trusted relationships with CEOs, CFOs, founders and senior executives.
- Become deeply familiar with each client's business, industry, strategy and investment proposition.
- Provide proactive advice rather than simply responding to client requests.
- Identify opportunities to deliver greater value to clients.
- Consistently communicate clearly, professionally and promptly.
- Help clients navigate important corporate, investor and media moments.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who combines commercial thinking, communication excellence and genuine curiosity about financial markets. You may already have experience in investor relations, financial PR, corporate communications, journalism, finance or broking, or you may have developed strong transferable skills in another professional environment.

Most importantly, you will be someone who wants to build a career in capital markets and strategic communications.

You'll ideally have

- 5+ years' experience in investor relations, PR, communications, journalism, finance, broking, corporate advisory or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- An excellent understanding of business and financial concepts.
- A genuine interest in the ASX and Australian investment markets.
- Confidence communicating with senior executives and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness and a focus on outcomes.

- The ability to work independently and take ownership.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- A willingness to learn and continually develop.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of ASX Listing Rules, continuous disclosure and corporate governance requirements will be highly regarded.
- Existing relationships across the media, investment or corporate sectors will also be highly regarded.

The person

We're less interested in someone who simply ticks every box and more interested in someone who has drive, curiosity and the ability to make things happen. You will thrive at TCN if you are:

- Proactive - you see opportunities and act on them.
- Commercial - you understand that our work needs to deliver measurable value for clients.
- Accurate - you care about getting the detail right.
- Curious - you genuinely want to understand companies, industries and markets.
- Confident - you are comfortable picking up the phone and speaking with CEOs, investors and journalists.
- Organised - you can manage multiple clients, campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Collaborative - you enjoy working with a team and bringing different specialists together.
- Ambitious - you want to develop your career and take on greater responsibility.
