Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior IP Telephony Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot up-to-date Unified Communications (UC) and IP telephony platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.

The role has a strong focus on Zoom Phone, Zoom Contact Center, Cisco Voice, SIP/VoIP, IVR and contact center solutions, with additional responsibility for JAMF and Microsoft Intune endpoint management.

Key ResponsibilitiesVoice & Unified Communications:

- Design and implement VoIP and Unified Communications solutions using Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center.
- Manage and support Cisco IP PBX, voice gateways and SBC platforms.
- Design and optimise call flows, auto-attendants, hunt groups, queues, voicemail, IVR and contact center routing.
- Work with network teams on QoS, bandwidth planning and end-to-end voice quality.

Operations & Troubleshooting:

- Act as a point of escalation for complex telephony and UC incidents.
- Monitor and troubleshoot SIP trunks, SBCs, carrier interconnects, Zoom voice workloads and Cisco telephony environments.
- Manage Zoom devices, policies and dial plans.
- Support Yealink IP phones and associated voice infrastructure.
- Perform detailed troubleshooting using SIP traces, logs and monitoring tools.
- Execute Moves, Adds and Changes (MACD) for users, numbers, call flows and devices.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Translate requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Recommend best practices for Zoom and overall UC strategy.
- Coordinate with carriers and external vendors for provisioning, number porting and incident resolution.

Documentation & Governance:

- Create and maintain high-level designs, low-level configurations, technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Maintain accurate inventories of telephony devices,



numbers, licenses and services.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of UC and collaboration platforms.

JAMF & Endpoint Management:

- Administer JAMF/Jamf Pro for macOS device management, security and endpoint compliance.
- Administer Microsoft Intune for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices.
- Manage device enrollment, compliance policies and configuration profiles.
- Deploy software, security updates and patches across enterprise endpoints.
- Support SCCM/MECM/Azure-based endpoint management where required.
- Troubleshoot Windows Group Policy, macOS policies, security patches and endpoint compliance issues.
- Maintain endpoint security and ensure vulnerabilities are addressed promptly.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Proven experience as an IP Telephony Engineer, Voice Engineer, UC Engineer or Unified Communications Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Zoom Phone and/or Zoom Contact Center.
- Strong Cisco Voice/IP PBX experience, including voice gateways and SBCs.
- Excellent knowledge of SIP, VoIP, SIP trunks and carrier interconnects.
- Hands-on experience with IVR, call flows, queues, hunt groups and auto-attendants.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using SIP traces, logs and monitoring tools.
- Experience with enterprise telephony operations, MACD and number porting.
- Strong customer-facing communication and technical documentation skills.
- Hands-on experience with JAMF/Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune.
- Experience managing Windows and macOS endpoints in enterprise environments.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience with SCCM/MECM and Azure.
- Experience supporting Yealink IP phones.
- Knowledge of network QoS and voice-quality optimisation.
- Experience working with telecommunications carriers and vendors.
- Understanding of enterprise security and endpoint compliance.
- Experience working across large-scale collaboration and UC environments.

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sydney NSW
