? We’re Hiring: IT Support Officer
? Employment Type: Full-Time
? Level: Entry-Level to Junior
We are seeking a reliable, technically minded, and customer-focused IT Support Officer to join our growing IT team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy troubleshooting technical issues, supporting users, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations.
? Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line and second-line technical support to employees and users.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, email systems, and common business applications.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access requests.
- Monitor IT systems, devices, networks, and basic infrastructure for potential issues.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network access problems.
- Install software, operating system updates, security patches, and approved applications.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, equipment, software licenses, and user accounts.
- Log, track, prioritize, and resolve IT support tickets within agreed service levels.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT, network, cloud, or cybersecurity teams when required.
- Assist with data backup, system recovery, and basic disaster recovery procedures.
- Support IT onboarding and offboarding activities for employees.
- Prepare and maintain IT documentation, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with IT projects, system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and technology deployments.
- Promote IT security awareness and ensure users follow company technology policies.
✅ Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,
Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in IT support, helpdesk, desktop support, or technical support is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge, internships, or certifications are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, hardware, software, and networking.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and access control is an advantage.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems or service desk platforms is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity, endpoint protection, and IT security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an IT team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or ITIL are an advantage.
