? Level: Entry / Junior Level
We’re looking for a patient, technically curious, and service-oriented IT Support Officer to provide day-to-day technical assistance to employees and help maintain reliable IT operations. This role is ideal for someone starting their IT career who enjoys troubleshooting, helping users solve technical problems, and learning about hardware, software, networks, and IT systems.
? Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to employees through in-person, phone, email, or ticketing channels.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, printer, connectivity, and basic network issues.
- Install, configure, update, and maintain computers, peripherals, and approved software.
- Set up user accounts, devices, access permissions, and workplace IT equipment.
- Monitor and respond to IT support tickets and ensure issues are resolved within appropriate timeframes.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT or specialist teams when required.
- Assist with password resets, account access, and basic identity and access-management tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, equipment, configurations, and support activities.
- Support onboarding and offboarding by preparing equipment and managing access requirements.
- Assist with software updates, backups, security checks, and routine IT maintenance.
- Create and maintain basic technical documentation, troubleshooting guides,
and knowledge-base articles.
- Follow IT security, data-protection, and acceptable-use policies.
- Identify recurring technical issues and suggest improvements to IT support processes.
? What We’re Looking For
- Basic understanding of Windows, macOS, Linux, or other operating systems.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, peripherals, software installation, and basic troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addresses, Wi-Fi, DNS, and connectivity.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar productivity platforms is a plus.
- Knowledge of ticketing systems, Active Directory, cloud services, or endpoint-management tools is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and logical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-service abilities.
- Patience and professionalism when assisting non-technical users.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Willingness to learn current technologies and IT practices.
