About The Role
n
The City of Salisbury is seeking a motivated and hardworking Feature Landscape Team Member to join the Parks and Landscape team within City Infrastructure.
n
Reporting to the Coordinator Parks and Landscape, you will play an important role in maintaining and enhancing Council's parks, reserves and landscaped areas. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will undertake a variety of landscape maintenance activities to ensure our open spaces remain safe, attractive and enjoyable for residents and visitors.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
n
n
- Undertake general parks and landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, turf maintenance and weed control.
n
- Carry out tree planting,
tree watering and pruning activities.
n
- Assist with the maintenance of tracks, reserves and landscaped areas.
n
- Operate plant, machinery and equipment safely and effectively, including ride-on mowers.
n
- Undertake litter collection and general amenity maintenance duties.
n
- Raise and report infrastructure defects identified during maintenance activities.
n
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, labour, materials and equipment used.
n
- Assist with seasonal maintenance programs and landscape improvement projects.
n
- Erect temporary signage in accordance with approved traffic management requirements.
n
- Contribute to a safe, collaborative and customer-focused team environment.

About You
n
You are a reliable and safety-focused team member who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high-quality parks and landscape environments. You have experience operating landscape maintenance equipment, enjoy working as part of a team and are committed to delivering excellent outcomes for the community.
n
You Will Also Have
n
n
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
n
- Experience undertaking parks and landscape maintenance activities.
n
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and safe work practices.
n
- Experience operating landscape maintenance plant and equipment.
n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow work programs.
n
- Robust communication and customer service skills.
n
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
n
- Ability to use technology to record and access work information.
n
- MR Driver's Licence (desirable).
n
- Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent qualification (desirable).
n
- Work Zone Traffic Management Certificate (desirable).
n
- Experience operating front deck mowers, chainsaws or similar landscape equipment (desirable).
n
