Qualifications

Degree advanced Diploma or Diploma in hospitality or management or both. Qualifications will be looked at alongside experience.

Main Tasks

n

The successful applicant will have the ability to do the following

n

n
- Organises and controls the operations Lawleys cafe
n
- Develop action plans for the team to meet operational and organizational objectives
n
- managing and organising day to day operations of Lawleys Cafe
n
- planning and organising special functions as in Mother's Day, Christmas etc.
n
- planning menus in consultation with Chefs, Cooks and Directors agreeing and managing budgets for the food side of the cafe
n
- arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget overseeing stock levels and the ordering of supplies for the cafe, coordinate with vendors and order supplies
n
- assist in recruiting and appointing new team members have valuable interview techniques
n
- Overseeing open and close procedures and financial transactions with staff and teaching procedures
n
- ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines and ensuring cafe is always clean, functional and of suitable appearance
n




- Teaching and training staff how to deal with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service and ensuring all complaints are dealt with by staff
n
- Assign rules and responsibilities to employees for operational effectiveness
n
- Identify and Address issues in cafe performance
n
- Monitor and manage Café staff by regularly conducting performance issues providing feedback and setting goals to improve performance
n
- Develop strategies and operational plans managing execution and measuring café results
n
- selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff ect
n
- may take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
n
- be in charge of preparing weekly roster while considering multi-tasking training
n
- Take staff meetings and continue to better procedures as the industry is dynamic
n
- Deal with customer complaints delivering exceptional customer service
