Coopers Plumbing and Irrigation Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Journeyman Plumbers and Apprentices to join our growing team. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial and residential plumbing projects. As a key member of our plumbing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing services, maintaining professional standards, and contributing to the continued success of our operations in the Canberra region.
Key responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties
- Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions to customers
- Read and interpret plumbing plans and specifications
- Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian plumbing codes and standards
- Use a range of plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Test plumbing systems to ensure they function correctly
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide advice on plumbing maintenance
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on all job sites
- Potentially mentor and support apprentices or junior plumbers where applicable
About you
- Proven experience as a plumber or journeyman plumber in the residential and/or commercial sector
- Strong knowledge of Australian plumbing codes, standards and regulations
- Proficiency with plumbing tools, equipment and testing devices
- Ability to read and interpret technical plumbing drawings and specifications
- Sound problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
- Current First Aid certification is desirable
- Experience in gas fitting or irrigation systems would be advantageous
