About the role:
A prominent and sought after global architectural practice is looking for a Junior Document Controller to join its Sydney team, supporting the efficient and accurate management of project information across large-scale architectural projects.
Working closely with project teams and consultants, you’ll play an important role in keeping project information organised and moving smoothly across projects. You’ll help coordinate documentation, keep records up to date and make sure teams have the right information when they need it. The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in document control or project administration within the built environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain project records, registers and filing structures, ensuring information is accurate, organised, and traceable
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing project documentation using electronic document management systems
- Apply project, client, and industry requirements to document control processes
- Maintain accurate version, revision and metadata information across project documentation
- Check documentation prior to issue, ensuring information is accurate and complete
- Support the preparation and coordination of project submission packages
- Liaise with project teams,
consultants and other stakeholders to coordinate project information
- Maintain correspondence logs, drawing issue records and other project documentation
- Support the management of construction documentation, including RFIs, shop drawings and other project information
- Assist project teams with document control processes and project-specific systems
- Identify and raise discrepancies or issues relating to document accuracy, status or information flow
- Maintain clear and auditable document histories throughout the project lifecycle
Key Skills / Requirements:
- Previous experience in document control, project administration, project coordination, ideally within architecture or the wider built environment
- Experience using electronic document management systems
- Aconex, CMap or Newforma experience is beneficial
- Exposure to large-scale or complex projects is highly desirable
- Understanding of architectural, consultant or construction documentation and project workflows
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple streams of information and competing priorities
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn recent systems and processes
- Comfortable working collaboratively with project teams and a range of stakeholders
