SUMMARY
Our client is a market-leading medical device organisation dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative pain management solutions.
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans to drive adoption of the company's pain management portfolio across hospitals, healthcare networks, clinics, and key stakeholders. This role requires a strong blend of sales expertise, clinical acumen, relationship management, and strategic thinking.
The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians, procurement teams, pharmacists, pain specialists, anaesthetists, emergency physicians, nursing teams, and hospital executives to identify opportunities, influence practice change, and deliver commercial objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES In this position, you will:
- Develop and implement strategic territory and account plans to achieve sales objectives and business growth targets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key decision-makers, and strategic accounts across the assigned region.
- Drive product adoption through effective customer engagement, education, and value-based selling.
- Identify opportunities to expand market access, support clinical pathway integration, and increase utilisation within healthcare settings.
- Monitor account performance, market dynamics, and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
- Build collaborative relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers to support business objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including marketing, medical, customer service, and leadership to deliver successful commercial outcomes.
- Execute territory plans and promotional activities in accordance with business priorities and customer needs.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Effectively manage territory resources and expenses within approved budgets.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Nursing, Health Sciences, Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of successful medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales experience.
- Proven experience managing key accounts within hospital environments.
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience engaging with clinical and procurement stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen and strategic planning capability.
Preferred
- Experience in pain management, anaesthesia, emergency medicine, critical care, infusion therapy, or related therapeutic areas.
- Understanding of hospital purchasing processes and tender management.
- Experience launching new products or driving market development initiatives.
- Existing relationships within hospitals and healthcare networks.
DURATION Full-time, 38 hours a week
SALARY
Attractive salary + super + car allowance + bonus
LOCATION
Must be based in Queensland - role will cover the QLD territory
