Nambour Meals on Wheels is a community based organization that provides delicious and nutritious meals, soups, salads and desserts to over 200 clients each week. We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant/Cook to complement our team working on a Full-Time basis from 6.00 am to 2.00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Duties can include but are not limited to;

· Preparing sandwiches and salads

· Some easy food preparation

· Assisting with plating of meals

· Assisting with chilling/freezing and storage of meals

· Receiving and storing food deliveries

· Keeping food preparation areas clean

· Dishwashing

· Other duties as required.

The successful applicant must be able to;

- Work under pressure in a busy environment
- Multi-task
- Show attention to detail
- Demonstrate organisational and time management skills.

The ideal applicant will have a warm and friendly manner with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous kitchen experience and food safety knowledge are essential for this position.
