About the role
Smart Healthcare Solutions is a Western Australian owned company delivering staffing solutions, in-home care services, department of Veteran (DVA) services, Community Nursing and innovative solutions to the healthcare industry. We are expanding our workforce and seeking passionate and reliable staff to support residents in aged care and disability facilities for our clients North and South of the River. Successful candidates will have a positive “can-do” attitude, excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in an aged care environment.
Reliability, teamwork, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to supporting the wellbeing of aged care clients are essential.
Key responsibilities
Kitchen Hands
- Assist in preparing and serving meals for residents
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food safety standards
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support meal distribution to residents
Cleaners:
- Clean resident rooms, common areas, and facilities
- Safely dispose of waste and maintain hygiene standards
- Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
Chefs/Cooks:
- Prepare, cook, and present nutritious meals, snacks, and desserts for residents
- Follow menus, recipes, portion sizes, and meal schedules provided by the facility
- Follow instructions relating to allergies,
intolerances, cultural and religious dietary requirements
- Ensure meals are served at the correct temperature and presented appropriately
- Maintain accurate records relating to meal preparation, temperatures, food storage, and cleaning where required
- Ensure food is stored, labelled, dated, and handled in accordance with food safety requirements
- Monitor food quality and freshness and report any concerns to the relevant supervisor
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen and food preparation area
- Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and food preparation areas
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, care staff, facility management, and other team members
About you
- 6 months previous experience in aged care, disability, or healthcare settings
- Current Police Clearance and/or WWCC (as required)
- Flu vaccination
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
- NDIS Clearance
- Positive can do attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Chefs -Relevant Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
