Kitchen Hand | Casual | Immediate start | Double Bay

Cà Phê Mai is a recent contemporary Vietnamese venue on Kiaora Lane in Double Bay. A specialty coffee and all-day eatery by day, a casual wine bar by night. We are building a kitchen that takes its food seriously and its attitude lightly, and we need a reliable kitchen hand to keep it running.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the kitchen. You will work alongside our chefs across prep, dish and the daily reset, keeping the section clean, stocked and moving through service.

What you will do

- Wash, clean and keep the kitchen and equipment to a high standard
- Support the chefs with prep: washing, peeling, portioning, basic mise en place
- Receive and put away deliveries, rotate stock, keep the coolroom and dry store tidy
- Take out bins, manage rubbish and recycling, handle the end-of-shift clean down
- Keep on top of the dish flow so service never backs up

What we are looking for





- Available across the week including weekends. We trade Tuesday to Saturday, day and dinner
- A strong work ethic and genuine pride in a clean, organised kitchen
- Quick on your feet, calm under pressure, good in a small team
- Reliable and on time, every shift
- Right to work in Australia. Food handling experience and a current NSW RSA are a plus but not essential

The role

- Casual, immediate start
- Paid under the Restaurant Industry Award (MA000119), with above-award rates for the right person
- A real path to more hours and kitchen development for someone who wants it
