We are looking for a customer focused and organised team member who can coordinate service requests, enquiries and complaints, support clear communication, and help progress actions to completion.
Public Space Operations, through its Contracts Management function, delivers a wide range of contract-based services across the city, supporting clean, secure and well-maintained public spaces.
The Role
As the Outcome Officer, you will support the Customer and Stakeholder function for contract services within Public Space Operations.
You will coordinate customer and stakeholder enquiries, notices, requests and complaints, ensuring information is recorded accurately, actions are progressed, and outcomes are communicated through approved channels.
You will work closely with the Outcome Supervisor, Contracts Management Delivery and Performance, Governance, and Planning and Analytics teams to support timely responses, event readiness, insurance and claims activity, contractor work requests and action close out.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate customer and stakeholder enquiries, notices, requests and complaints linked to contract services, ensuring matters are logged, prioritised and progressed within agreed timeframes.
- Prepare clear factual updates for internal and external stakeholders through approved communication channels.
- Work with contractors and internal teams to progress actions, confirm outcomes and maintain accurate records and evidence.
- Support Councillor and Ward Office requests by preparing operational updates and escalating sensitive or complex matters to the Outcome Supervisor.
- Coordinate pre-event readiness support,
including arranging site checks with Governance and tracking required actions to close out.
- Support insurance and claims related activity by collating information, coordinating internal inputs and maintaining accurate records.
- Raise and track contractor work requests where required, including urgent safety or amenity related matters.
- Work with Planning and Analytics to ensure demand information, trends and recurring issues are captured consistently for reporting and planning.
- Provide day to day guidance to Contracts Support Officers on standard workflows, record keeping, evidence filing and escalation requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in templates, customer updates, triage processes and knowledge materials.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience coordinating service requests, enquiries or complaints in a complex operational environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear factual updates for stakeholders and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to engage professionally with external stakeholders, including residents and community representatives, providing factual updates and managing expectations through approved processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with contractors and internal teams to progress actions to completion and confirm outcomes.
- Demonstrated capability in record keeping, evidence management and use of request, case management or workflow systems.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing tasks, meet deadlines and escalat exceptions appropriately.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety and compliance expectations relevant to public space services, including recognising hazards and escalating concerns.
While not mandatory, experience working with Councillors and Ward Offices, supporting event readiness, insurance or claims activity, or using data to identify trends and recurring issues will be highly regarded.
