About the roles:

As a Learn to Swim Teacher / Swimming Instructor, you'll deliver fun, safe, and engaging swim lessons to children and beginners of all ages and abilities, helping our members and the local Kilcoy community build water confidence and lifelong swimming skills.

As a Lifeguard / Pool Attendant / Water Safety Supervisor, you'll actively supervise our pools, respond to incidents, and help keep every swimmer at Kilcoy Aquatic Centre safe on the pool deck and in the water.

Both roles sit within our aquatics, fitness, and leisure centre team, working alongside gym, swim school, and recreation staff to create a positive,



welcoming environment for our members and the wider Kilcoy community. We value team members who bring patience, reliability, and strong people skills.

What we're looking for:

For Learn to Swim Teachers / Swim Instructors:

- AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia teaching qualification (or a willingness to obtain one)

For Lifeguards / Pool Attendants:

- Current Pool Lifeguard qualification (or a willingness to obtain one)

For both roles:

- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) — essential
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient, customer-focused attitude
- Availability and willingness to work weekends — essential
- Availability during daytime weekdays, school hours, or after-school blocks is a bonus
- A team player who takes safety seriously and enjoys working with the local community
