Armstrong Flooring/ANZ Flooring is seeking a strategic, tactical, customer focused product manager to lead our sheet vinyl and resilient modular product management initiatives.

About Us

Armstrong Flooring is Australia's only sheet vinyl flooring manufacturer and a key Australian and New Zealand supplier of both locally manufactured and imported residential and commercial resilient floorcoverings and carpet tiles - now expanding its product offering to broadloom carpet.

The Role

n

You will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic multi-generational product plansincluding planning, organizing, and execution of successful product management initiatives from conceptual stages through the product life cycle.

n

The key initial focus of the role will be to drive the growth of Armstrong Flooring/ANZ Flooring by the successful development and sourcing of resilient modular products, including LVP, hybrids, laminates and engineered timber, while maintaining the performance and enhancing the current resilient modular product portfolio.

n

In addition you will be expected to provide strategic planning and organisation of sheet vinyl product lines to be manufactured at Armstrong Flooring's Braeside manufacturing plant and sourced from external suppliers and support the ANZ Flooring soft surfaces product development team including identification of potential sources of product lines, and managing, directing and co-ordinating the procurement of those products including sampling and supporting the Supply Chain Manager with the forecasting, demand and management of inventories.

The role will require travel both interstate and overseas.

About You

n





This is an extraordinary opportunity for a driven strategically focused product manager to build and develop the role. Ideally you will have:

n

Proven product management expertise within the flooring industry identifying and developing concepts for new products, and working with internal and/or external suppliers for the development and sourcing of those products

n

A deep understanding of both the Australian and New Zealand commercial and retail flooring industries and flooring supply channels

n

Detailed flooring product knowledge is essential

n

Knowledge of sheet vinyl manufacturing an advantage

n

Demonstrated ability to drive growth, increase profitability, and achieve business objectives

n

Effective negotiation, communication and organisational skills

n

Excellent relationship building skills

n

Understanding of cross cultural business practices

n

Willingness to travel internationally

n

Analytical capacity with expertise in forecasting, reporting, and sales metrics

n
