We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at the Coriole Restaurant at Coriole Vineyards.

Location: Coriole Vineyards Restaurant, McLaren Vale (just 45 minutes from the CBD)

We have an established, talented and hard-working restaurant team and are seeking a dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our fast-paced environment. This role incorporates a combination of restaurant lunch service and some weddings/functions.

The Coriole Restaurant is an integral part of the Coriole Vineyards business, and as the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be an important part of its operations. The role will assist the Coriole Restaurant Operations Manager in ensuring we deliver the most outstanding customer service, drive sales, meet budgets and ultimately ensure the ongoing success of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

n

Reporting to our Restaurant Manager and as a key member of the Front of House team, this role requires you to:

n

Deliver superior service and ensure customer satisfaction

n





Assist in creating memorable experiences for all visitors to the estate

n

Respond to customer enquiries, book functions and manage event details

n

Be on-site for weddings and major events

n

Oversee and manage daily reservation activities including individual, group, and corporate bookings

n

Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to establish required staffing resources

n

Assist the Restaurant Manager to coordinate daily front of house and back of house restaurant operations

n

Assist the Restaurant Manager in stock management and monthly stocktaking

n

Supervise the restaurant overall presentation

n

Supervise the hospitality team to deliver the best customer service practices

n

Ensure seamless communication between Front of House and Back of House teams

n

Assume responsibility for hospitality in the absence of the Restaurant Manager

n

Work with and assist the Coriole Wedding Coordinator as required

n

Availability Thursday - Monday

n

A proven track record in a fast-paced restaurant

n

Creative problem-solving skills

n

Wine knowledge / qualifications

The soils are predominantly terra rosa soils (over 80%).



These soils are shallow with red-brown earth over hard capped limestone. They tend to produce deeply coloured red wines with good structure and backbone that show excellent capacity for ageing.

The Estate vineyards are predominantly Shiraz, planted as early as 1919. The variety balance grown at Coriole is 65% Shiraz, 10% Sangiovese, 5% Chenin and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Other varieties are Fiano, Grenache, Barbera, Montepulciano, Merlot and Semillon. There are in total 25 different vineyards from 90 years old to 3 years old.

Coriole manages most vineyards where fruit is sourced. It also has vineyards in the sub-regions of Blewitt Springs and Willunga
