About the role

We're currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Legal & Commercial team in a newly created part-time position. Working closely with senior legal and commercial leaders, this role will play a critical part in ensuring contracts, agreements and legal documentation are prepared, executed, tracked and maintained accurately and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for meaningful professional work with flexibility, while remaining engaged in a fast-paced corporate environment.

This role is equivalent to 2-3 days per week, with flexibility around how those hours are worked. Whether you prefer full days or shorter hours spread across the week, we're open to finding an arrangement that works for both you and the business. Hybrid working is available, with the role based in Mulgrave, VIC.





The key requirement is maintaining regular availability across the week to support time-sensitive legal and commercial matters.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to!):

- Preparing, formatting and maintaining legal and commercial documents

- Coordinating document execution and electronic signatures

- Managing contract registers and document records

- Monitoring contract renewal, review and expiry dates

- Ensuring documents are correctly filed and governed

- Liaising with internal stakeholders to obtain information and approvals

- Following up outstanding actions and maintaining workflow visibility

- Supporting legal and commercial governance processes

- Producing high-quality, professional documents suitable for executive review and execution

- Identifying opportunities to improve administration and document management practices

What you’ll bring

You'll be someone who is proactive and thrives on organisation, accuracy and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, Legal Administrator, Contracts Administrator or similar role

- Strong Microsoft Word and document formatting capability

- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills





- Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines

- Strong written communication skills

- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes
- A professional approach when working with confidential information and senior stakeholders

Highly regarded

- Experience working within a legal practice

- Experience supporting an in-house legal team

- Exposure to contracts, legal agreements or document governance processes

- Experience using DocuSign or similar electronic signature platforms

- Experience maintaining registers, records or document management systems
