Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 + Super (negotiable based on experience)

Vectura Recruitment is seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Broker to join an established international freight forwarding environment. This position offers full ownership of a varied client portfolio, with the autonomy to manage your own workload from document receipt through to clearance.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and lodge import declarations through ICS
- Complete tariff classification across a broad range of commodities
- Review and apply Free Trade Agreements and tariff concessions
- Manage TCOs, duty refunds, drawbacks and post-entry amendments
- Review commercial documentation and identify potential Customs or Biosecurity issues
- Manage Biosecurity directions, documentation requirements and enquiries
- Liaise with the Australian Border Force and DAFF on clearance and compliance matters
- Provide practical customs and compliance advice across a varied client portfolio
- Resolve complex clearance issues and respond to Customs and Biosecurity queries
- Maintain accurate files and manage jobs independently from document receipt through to clearance

Skills & Experience

- A current Australian Customs Broker Licence




- Three to five years' experience in customs brokerage or international freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of Australian Customs legislation, tariff classification and import requirements
- Good working knowledge of Australian Biosecurity requirements, including NCCC and AEP accreditation
- Experience with ICS, Borderwise and Expedient will be highly regarded
- Confidence working independently and making informed brokerage decisions
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
- Professional, confident communication with clients and government agencies
