We have an opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, junior lawyer with 1-3 years post-admission experience to join our team, with a focus on litigation and employment law.

The Role

Based in Mount Waverley, this full-time position will work alongside our Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation. The work is engaging and our litigation practice includes:

- Work in various courts and tribunals
- Commercial and contract disputes
- Insolvency
- Domestic building disputes
- Commercial/industrial building disputes
- Property and business co-ownership/interest disputes
- Water Act claims
- Commercial and retail lease disputes
- General property disputes
- General litigation.

This role is also an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to build their expertise across employment disputes and advisory work, including:
- Advising employers on their employment obligations
- Drafting, reviewing and advising on employment and contractor agreements
- Assisting with employment law disputes, including underpayment claims, unfair dismissal and general protection claims, discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying disputes in the Fair Work Commission and Federal and State courts and tribunals
- Reviewing and advising on Enterprise Agreements
- Restraint of trade disputes
- Advising on labour hire arrangement and licencing requirements and
- Occupational health and safety legislation.

You will be joining a high-performance team. In addition to our Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation, you will also work with Accredited Specialists in Property Law, Commercial Law and Wills & Estates.

About you You are a lawyer with 1-3 years of litigation and employment experience, with a passion and drive for these areas of law.

You have a high level of detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent character, strong ethics, warm relational skills and a commitment to service excellence. You will be an innovative thinker who can devise lateral solutions.

You will have above average academic results and will be looking for a long-term career in a progressive boutique practice.

You are a team player who is teachable and flexible, yet capable of working autonomously.
