We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Logistics and Supply Manager to lead and optimise procurement, inventory, warehouse, and logistics. This role is critical in ensuring materials are sourced, managed, and delivered efficiently to support production, customer service outcomes, and overall business performance.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will take ownership of the full supply chain function, including supplier performance, procurement governance, inventory optimisation, warehouse operations, and freight management. You will play a key role in ensuring material availability, driving DIFOT performance, and maintaining strong control of inventory and working capital, while also leading a small team and driving continuous improvement initiatives
A bit about the role:
- Lead and develop the warehouse and logistics team.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and reliability outcomes
- Oversee purchasing, supplier contracts, and sourcing strategies
- Optimise inventory levels to balance service, production, and working capital
- Ensure reliable material availability to support production schedules
- Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and compliance standards
- Manage transport providers and freight performance to achieve DIFOT targets
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and cost
- Monitor supply chain KPIs and deliver performance reporting and insight
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Proven experience in a Supply Chain / Procurement / Logistics leadership role within manufacturing
- Strong ERP/MRP experience (DelmiaWorks / IQMS highly regarded)
- Demonstrated leadership of warehouse or supply chain teams
- Strong understanding of inventory control, FIFO, and batch traceability
- Experience managing DIFOT, freight performance, and warehouse costs
- Strong supplier relationship and procurement experience
- Sound knowledge of WHS and operational compliance
- Ability to balance operational execution with strategic improvement initiatives
- A current forklift license with experience
Highly regarded:
- Experience in food-grade or FMCG manufacturing environments (HACCP / FSSC22000)
- Exposure to high-volume manufacturing or injection moulding
- Experience implementing warehouse systems, 5S, or Lean practices
- Experience managing pallet systems such as CHEP or LOSCAM
- Continuous improvement or Lean methodology experience
