Logistics Analyst | A.J. Bush & Sons
A.J. Bush & Sons is one of Australia's leading protein and rendering businesses, and is seeking a hands-on Logistics Analyst to coordinate and optimise transport and logistics across its Beaudesert operation - keeping raw materials, fleet and contractors moving safely, compliantly and efficiently.
About the role
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Analyst is the engine room of the transport function: planning and coordinating logistics, managing driver and contractor performance, maintaining compliance under Chain of Responsibility and NHVR, and driving cost and efficiency improvements across the fleet. It is a varied, fast-paced role that will suit someone organised, practical and safety-focused.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and optimise plant logistics and transport to keep raw materials, contractors and fleet moving in line with production needs
- Manage driver and contractor relationships, performance and compliance
- Maintain Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR, WHS, biosecurity and environmental compliance (using MaintainX)
- Conduct collection point compliance reviews and monitor raw material quality, hygiene and contamination risks
- Coordinate fleet maintenance — servicing, repairs, inspections, registrations, defects and scheduling
- Analyse transport,
fleet and cost data (utilisation, downtime, fuel, delivery performance) and report on improvements
- Champion a positive safety culture and continuous improvement
The successful candidate will bring
- Experience coordinating transport, logistics, scheduling or supply chain operations
- A sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR compliance
- The ability to juggle multiple deliveries, schedules, contractors and competing priorities under pressure
- Strong analytical skills, and be comfortable working with transport data and reporting
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with drivers, contractors and suppliers
- A current C-class driver's licence (Forklift LF and First Aid/CPR desirable)
- Exposure to manufacturing, rendering, agriculture or industrial environments, and weighbridge or collection point experience, which will be highly regarded
