About the role

Linear Technik P/L is seeking a skilled Machinist Assembler to join our team on a full-time basis at our facility in Dandenong South, Victoria. This is a hands-on manufacturing role that combines precision machining with assembly work, contributing directly to the production of high-quality technical components. You will play a vital role in our operations, working with modern machinery and tools to ensure products meet our exacting standards and deadlines.

What you'll be doing

- Operating manual machines to produce precision components according to technical specifications and engineering drawings
- Assembling machined parts and sub-assemblies with attention to detail and accuracy
- Performing quality checks and inspections throughout the machining and assembly process to ensure adherence to tolerances and standards
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions
- Setting up and adjusting machinery to optimise production runs and minimise downtime
- Maintaining workshop equipment and tools in good working order
- Following all health and safety protocols and procedures on the factory floor
- Contributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting colleagues when required
- Identifying and reporting any manufacturing issues or defects to supervisory staff

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Machinist Assembler or similar role in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Competency in operating lathes, mills and other standard workshop machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications accurately
- Strong understanding of precision tolerances and quality control standards




- Manual dexterity and attention to detail in assembly work
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in machining or mechanical assembly
- Experience with hand tools and measuring instruments such as micrometres and callipers
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to health and safety in the workplace
- Reliability and punctuality
- Preferred: experience with specific machinery relevant to Linear Technik's product range or familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
