About the Opportunity
n
We are seeking one full-time Occupational Therapist to join our growing allied health team.
n
This position would suit an Occupational Therapist who values meaningful, community-based work and enjoys delivering flexible services across clinic, telehealth and mobile settings. Applications are welcomed from graduate, early-career, mid-level and experienced Occupational Therapists.
n
The successful applicant will manage an occupational therapy caseload, conduct assessments, prepare reports and develop practical, evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's needs and goals.
n
This is a full-time employee position based on a 38-hour working week.
n
Salary and Benefits

Key Responsibilities
n
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for:
n
n
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments
n
- Identifying clients' functional abilities, support needs, strengths and goals
n
- Developing individualised, evidence-based intervention plans
n
- Delivering occupational therapy services through telehealth, in-clinic appointments and mobile visits
n
- Supporting clients to improve independence in daily living, self-care, mobility, communication, community participation, education, work and leisure
n
- Recommending suitable assistive technology, equipment, environmental modifications and practical support strategies where appropriate
n
- Completing functional assessments and other relevant clinical assessments within the Occupational Therapist's scope of practice
n
- Preparing accurate, professional and timely clinical reports, progress notes, recommendations and supporting documentation
n
- Monitoring client outcomes and reviewing intervention plans as needs and circumstances change
n
- Providing education, guidance and practical strategies to clients, families, carers and support networks
n
- Working collaboratively with other allied health professionals, medical practitioners, support coordinators, community organisations and relevant service providers
n
- Participating in case conferences, care-team meetings and multidisciplinary discussions where required
n
- Managing appointments, travel, clinical documentation and caseload responsibilities effectively
n
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records
n
- Following professional, ethical, privacy, safeguarding, workplace health and safety, and clinical governance requirements
n
- Maintaining professional competence through continuing professional development and reflective practice
n
- Representing Flourish Holistic Services professionally in the clinic, in the community and during online appointments
n

Qualifications and Requirements
n
Essential
n
Applicants must have:
n
n
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
n
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist
n
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance where required
n
- Current Australian working rights
n
- A current Victorian driver licence
n
- Access to a reliable and appropriately insured vehicle for mobile service delivery
n
- Strong clinical assessment, intervention planning and report-writing skills
n
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
n
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
n
- Sound organisational, time-management and caseload-management skills
n
- A commitment to person-centred, culturally respectful and evidence-based practice
n
- The ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect client privacy and confidentiality
n
- Competence using computers, electronic records and telehealth platforms
n
n
The successful applicant must also hold or be willing to obtain all screening and employment checks required for the role, which may include:
n

- National Police Check
n
- Working with Children Check
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, where required
n
- Any other mandatory checks or documentation relevant to the clients and services being provided
n
n
Required employment documentation, registrations and screening checks are to be obtained and maintained by the employee at their own expense and are not reimbursed by Flourish Holistic Services.

Desirable Experience
n
The following would be highly regarded:
n
n
- Experience working in community health, disability, rehabilitation, aged care or another relevant allied health setting
n
- Experience conducting functional assessments
n
- Experience providing services in clients' homes and community environments
n
- Experience delivering occupational therapy through telehealth
n
- Knowledge of assistive technology and home or environmental modification recommendations
n
- Experience working with people from diverse cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic backgrounds
n
- Strong understanding of person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed practice
n
- Experience preparing high-quality clinical reports and recommendations
n
- Confidence working independently in mobile and community settings
n
n
Graduate Occupational Therapists who demonstrate strong communication skills, professional judgement and a commitment to learning are encouraged to apply.
